1960年 手雕竹骨麻雀 「漁樵耕讀」
A notable piece for collectors, featuring tiles that are larger than typical early vintage sets, each with unique natural bone grain.
The 'Fisherman, Woodcutter, Farmer, Scholar' flower tiles represent the traditional Chinese ideal of a quiet, self-sufficient life in nature. In classic mahjong design, this four-figure series serves as a traditional counterpart to the 'Four Seasons' or the 'Four Gentlemen' (Plum, Orchid, Bamboo, Chrysanthemum).
Complete set with all 148tiles.
Please note: The original box shows some wear due to age, but opens and closes smoothly.
